The Programme

Halqa-e-Shaheen does not stand alone. It is part of Anjuman Khuddam-ul-Qur'an's Motivational & Development Programme — in Urdu, تحریض و تعمیرِ افرادِ پروگرام.

Its stated purpose is this:

We intend to establish a working system that helps — drawing from the Qur'an Academy and the Ruju' ila al-Qur'an course in particular, and from further places and platforms in general — to find people who, after a period of training, can play some effective part in clearing the way for the real work that the renaissance of Islam requires.

The programme has three societies:

Halqa-e-Shaheen serves as the intellectual centre for all three. Operational focus is on the research society for now, so that the other two later stand on solid scholarly ground.

All of it follows from what Dr. Israr Ahmad called the real work: clearing the way for the renaissance of Islam.
